Catch & Release

adipose fin
noun
a small, fleshy fin, usually lacking rays, behind the main dorsal fin in trouts, catfishes, and other bony fishes.
Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)Based on the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2006.

In the West, the adipose fin is clipped or removed from juvenile steelhead or salmon prior to being released from fisheries. Wild trout are identifiable by the presence of an adipose fin. Fishing regulations require that any wild steelhead or salmon be released.

"Adipose Angler" is what I will name my flyfishing shop, when I open one.
Adipose Angler = Wild Trout Fisherman or Wild Trout-fisherman...either way.

And so it begins...my blog...my entry into the realm of web-geekdom...hope you enjoy it. For now, no scheme...no theme...just a place for me to share what's on my plate...bon appetit!
